Welcome to The Barefoot Quilter, a family-owned and operated quilt
shop located in Western New York, in the little town of Rushford.
Owner and master quilter Audrey Wolfer is pleased to offer any advice
or inspiration you may need for your current and future projects.
Fabric:
In our building, a refurbished old-time hardware store,
we combine the charm of the old-fashioned general mercantile
with high-quality designer fabrics of all types: bright colors,
blenders, batiks, wide backings and much more, from companies
like Moda, Timeless Treasures, Quilting Treasures, Northcott,
Blank Quilting, Andover, Windham, and Anthology Batiks. We are
also proud to have pre-cuts like charm packs and jelly rolls
available for purchase. Currently we house more than 560 bolts
of fabric, but we are continually adding to our collection,
so make sure to stop by often. There’s always something new to
look at!
Thread and Batting:
In addition to the fabric, we sell high-quality cotton thread like
Superior Thread’s King Tut variegated quilting thread and Mettler
silk finish, along with 1422 yard spools and 6452 yard cones of Aurifil.
We carry some of the Quilter’s Dream brand of batting (made in the USA),
which includes Dream Blend (70% cotton/30% poly), and
Dream Wool. We also carry Warm & Natural cotton and Soft & Bright poly
by the Warm Company. These 90” wide battings are all sold by the yard,
plus we sell some packaged batts from crib to king sizes. We also have
a large assortment of other notions to suit all your sewing or quilting needs.

Tues & Wed: 10am to 5 pm
Thurs: 10 am to 4 pm, 6-9pm
Fri: 10 am to 5 pm
Sat: 10 am to 3 pm

Classes:
Among our services, we are pleased to have quilting classes, complete with
tips, tricks, and techniques for the beginner all the way up to the
experienced quilter, taught mainly by our own proprietor, Audrey. For more detail,
please consult our “News/Events” page to get a list of the currently offered classes,
which will be updated every month.
